COVA is pleased to announce their 2009 Annual Conference. We are delighted to be hosting at Georgia Tech and featuring speakers such as Jason Carter, Maria Sapporta from the Atlanta Business Chronicle and Jocelyn Dorsey from WSB-TV.

This year, the COVA Conference will focus on three tracks:

  • Integrating Corporate Skills into Nonprofit Cultures
The Integrating Corporate Skills track will take on both a corporate organization's and non-profit's points of view and seek to identify and create successful volunteer services. Participants will gain new insight on how to sustain the strong tradition of social responsibility and service to the community.

  • Leadership and Entrepreneurial Development
The Leadership and Entrepreneurial Development track will concentrate on collaboration and developing creative partnering strategies. Anyone charged with developing or applying new volunteer resources while leveraging existing resources will enjoy this stimulating group setting.

  • Advanced Volunteer Skills Institute
COVA suggests relatively new volunteer managers or coordinators consider to the Advanced Volunteer Institute track. This track intertwines case statement development, discussion of the role of ethics in volunteer service, along with exercises to enhance recruitment of the right skill sets as well as personnel, retention, and assessment. This track has limited seating, so registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
